Annual Assembly

All Parish and Town Councils throughout England are required by law to hold an Annual Parish Assembly between the dates of 1st March and 1st June (inclusive). This is not a Council meeting but a meeting of registered electors.

Agenda & Notice of the Filton Annual Town Meeting to be held on Tuesday 26th May 2026 at 6:00pm in Studio 1, Elm Park Leisure Centre, Elm Park, Filton, BS34 7PS

All electors in Filton are eligible to speak at the meeting and anyone is welcome to attend

1. Welcome by Mayor
2. Open forum–question from the public
3. Report from the Mayor
4. Presentation by FACE on their youth work
5. Presentation by Deputy Clerk on projects over the last year
6. Presentation by Town Clerk on the UK Town of Culture 2028 bid
7. Concluding remarks and close

The Annual Town Meeting will be followed by the Annual General Meeting.

The Annual Town Meeting provides an opportunity for residents to come along and meet their councillors, ask questions about Filton and discuss community issues.

Anyone registered to vote in Filton can speak at the meeting. It is helpful for residents to raise matters via the Town Clerk, Simon Davies, ahead of the meeting but it is not essential. Please email office@filtontowncouncil.gov.uk or call 01454 803918
