StreetSafe - Anonymous Online Reporting Tool to Share Safety Concerns

Police are working with local councils to promote the use of the StreetSafe reporting tool. This national service allows anyone to highlight areas where they feel unsafe, helping the police and local partners to understand and respond to community concerns.

Reports are completely anonymous and may include issues such as poor lighting, vandalism, or anti-social behaviour.

Please note: StreetSafe is not for reporting crimes or emergencies.

Police Report Summary - April 2026

Avon and Somerset Police report a positive decrease in overall crime across Filton over the past month, with 65 offences recorded compared to 104 the previous month. However, incidents involving violence against the person have increased and remain an area of concern.

Anti-social behaviour continues to be an issue in Elm Park, particularly involving electric and suron bikes. Police have increased patrols and are working with wider teams on potential enforcement operations. Additional concerns have included groups of youths causing disturbance near the leisure centre, though recent patrols have helped reduce incidents.

Retail crime remains a priority, with ongoing shop thefts at Shields Retail Park. A targeted shoplifting operation is planned, alongside continued community engagement activities such as local events and police surgeries.

The neighbourhood team has also strengthened its presence, with a new Beat Manager in post and recruitment underway for a new PCSO. Officers continue to work closely with the community and partners, including responding to issues such as uninsured or untaxed vehicles and supporting residents following a serious incident in the area.

Current priorities: tackling shop theft at Shields Retail Park and addressing anti-social behaviour and suspected drug activity in Elm Park through increased patrols.
