Filton Town Council have two allotment sites in Filton.
The Sidings Allotments
The Sidings Allotments (formerly “Station Road Allotments”) holds 44 rentable plots and includes both full and half size plots. This allotment site is managed by Filton Town Council whereby the Open Spaces Team fufill inspection checks and maintenance services.
How much does it cost?
- Full Plot: £80
- Half Plot: £45
From the 1st April 2026 an introductory administration fee of £10 will commence for new tenants.
We’re re-opening interest for plots at The Sidings Allotments (formerly “Station Road Allotments”).
Changes and Updates:
Price reflections for full and half plots were previously made on the 1st September 2022 where the going rates were £67.00 and £37.00 respectively.
Council has approved a proposal to increase the yearly rent fee for a Full-Size plot from £67.00 to £80.00 & a Half-Size plot from £37.00 to £45.00, to commence on the tenancy renewal date of 29th October 2025, including an introductory administration fee of £10 for new tenants only which will commencing from the 1st April 2026.

Mortimer Road Allotments
Mortimer Road (off Nutfield Grove) and is managed by a committee of local residents who act as an Allotment Association for this site.
They have 19 rentable plots on site.
How much does it cost?
It all depends on the size of the plot.
- Full Plot: £30.50
- Half Plot: £24.25
- 3/4 Plot: £27.38
For new members, there is a £10 key deposit and a £25 plot deposit. Both of which are refundable should the plot holder return the key and leave the plot in a reasonable condition.

Filton Allotments Growing Contest 2026
Filton Town Council is excited to launch the Filton Allotments Growing Contest 2026, a friendly, community-led initiative open to all plot holders at The Sidings and Nutfield Grove.
Running across Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter, the contest features a range of seasonal categories including vegetables, flowers and fruit, along with opportunities to showcase overall plot presentation.
Whether you're new to growing or experienced, it’s a great way to get involved, share knowledge and celebrate your progress throughout the year.
We are also welcoming judges for the contest. If you’re not a plot holder and are interested in taking part, please contact us directly.
